Favorite Grundy County Speedway Moments: One particular race I was getting pounded in the rear each time I entered turn 3. After a couple laps of this I drove into 3 way deep, pushed up into the 2nd groove, and saw the caution light coming down the front straight. When I came back around I saw the reason for the caution – the guy that had been pounding me had crashed into the turn 3 wall. Because he had planned on using my bumper to stop him, and I had prevented that, he had crashed hard into the wall!

Favorite Grundy County Speedway Moments: Doug once qualified fast enough to start the late model feature on the pole.  He got off to a half a lap lead that he maintained until about seven or eight laps left when the faster cars finally caught up to him.  Not wanting to be spun out he let them pass by moving to the outside groove.  After the race his mother emphatically told him, “In the future make the other cars go around on the outside if they want to pass.”

Favorite Grundy County Speedway Moments: James making each feature race this year (with Exception of the ASA race). Being part of the crew for the 7/1/11 race night when the car was destroyed on the second lap of the first 25 lap feature and the crew busting their butts to get it drivable for the second 25 lap feature and finishing 10th. Going into the pits after the races 12 years ago and getting to sit in driver seat of the #2 Red and White Dodge.

Favorite Grundy County Speedway Moments: Great group of guys to be around, no matter how things are going we always are able to laugh and have a good time. The best nights seem to be the season finale, celebrating good qualifying or race results as well as final point’s position.

Favorite Grundy County Speedway Moments: I look forward to the excitement of each race and just hanging out with the other guys on the crew. As the only female member of our team, it’s my time to get dirty and be “just one of the guys”.

Favorite Grundy County Speedway Moments: As a kid my 3 brothers, father, and myself went to the races and before every race we would pick a car that we would root for. Every car I picked finished last no matter where they started.  So after the car I picked in one race wrecked on lap 1 I said since the race hadn’t started yet I get to change my pick and picked the last car in line.  As he came down the front stretch he waved to the crowd and pulled off the track.  That is why I’m not allowed to cheer for our car.
